Autumn Equinox Celebration

  • Redwood Rare Breeds, Shepton Mallet, UK ba4 4SZ (map)

Autumn Equinox. The turning of the year. The balance of light and dark. A time to pause, listen and let go.

Sophie and Jed are glowing at the thought of bringing you together for this quarter turn of the year — weaving story, dance, music, ritual and connection into an evening to notice, from a slower and more embodied place, what this change of season brings.

What to expect · Ancient storytelling · Conscious dance journey · Live percussion from Paolo Bisazza · Equinox ritual · Live vocals from Amy Bisazza · Cacao · A beautiful Equinox altar · Time to connect, rest and be on the land.

What to bring

· Comfortable clothes for dancing · Warm layers · Swimwear and towel if you fancy a dip in the lake · Something warm and dry for afterwards · Water bottle · Torch/head-torch · Anything else you need to feel comfortable.

Children & young people

This is an intergenerational celebration and children and young people may be present. Tickets are 16+, but under-16s are welcome when accompanied by a parent or carer.

If you're bringing a younger teenager, they will likely need to share a headset. We ask that young people don't make the dance into a spectator sport, and that parents and carers are mindful of the dance floor as a sacred and held space, respecting everyone's individual journey.

Arrival

Please arrive on site at 2pm for some optional lake swimming and cacao. The event will start on time at 2:30pm. We need you in the opening circle for then. We can't admit latecomers to the circle so please be prompt.

Tickets & refunds

Tickets are non-refundable, but if you can no longer make it, you’re very welcome to pass your ticket on to a friend.

Extreme weather

This is an outdoor, seasonal gathering and we’ll be dancing whatever the weather brings — within reason! If severe weather or heavy rain means that it’s not safe or possible to hold the event, we may need to cancel. We’ll make this decision and communicate it as early as possible, and no later than 24 hours before the event. If we do need to cancel, all ticket holders will receive a full refund.
